NORWICH BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT PRIZE COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. The Promoter
The Promoter is: Norwich Business Improvement District Limited of c/o Fosters Solicitors William House, 19 Bank Plain, Norwich, Norfolk, NR2 4FS (“NBID ”).
2. The competition
2.1 The title of the competition is Win a gin academy experience for two and is in partnership with Gyre and Gimble
How to enter
2.2 The competition will run from 7pm on Tuesday 23rd Septemeber (the “Opening Date”) to 5pm on Sunday 5th Oct (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
2.3 All competition entries must be received by NBID by no later than the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified and will not be included in the draw.
2.4 To enter the competition:
(a) The entrant must follow the Instagram social media page belonging to Norwich Cocktail Week, Repost the social media post relating to Norwich Cocktail Week giveaway posted by Norwich Cocktail Week Instagram, For a bonus entry, people can “share” the app download screenshot with Norwich Cocktail Week via Direct Message. No purchase necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the website.
2.5 NBID will not accept:
(a) responsibility for competition entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
2.6 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

All entries received before the Closing Date shall be entered into a blind prize draw using a unique reference number and will be drawn at random using the Random Generator on Monday 6th Oct.
3. Eligibility
3.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over
(a) employees of NBID or its holding or subsidiary companies;
(b) employees of agents or suppliers of NBID or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or (c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
3.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. NBID may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
3.3 NBID will not accept competition entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
(d) photocopies and not originals; or
(e) incomplete.
3.4 NBID reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
4. The prize
4.1 The is a Gin Academy Experience for two at Gyre and Gimble. One prize is available.
4.2 Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize. Transport not included.
4.3 The prize is supplied by Gyre and Gimble. NBID reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond NBID’s control makes it necessary to do so.
4.4 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
4.5 In order to claim the prize you must book the experience using the code given.
5. Winners
5.1 The decision of NBID is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
5.2 NBID will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry.
5.3 NBID must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation NBID will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails [email protected] or writes to the address set out above (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the Closing Date of the competition.
5.4 If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact NBID [email protected]. In such circumstances, NBID must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
6. Claiming the prize
6.1 If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 5 days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize by responding to the direct message. NBID will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner up to three times. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within 7 days of the third attempt of contact, NBID reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
6.2 NBID does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
7. Limitation of liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, NBID, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of NBID, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
8. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
8.1 NBID does not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry.
8.2 You agree that NBID may, in their sole discretion, make your entry available on its website and in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You grant NBID a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence in perpetuity, for the full period of the intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
9. Data protection and publicity
9.1 NBID will only process your personal information as set out in the PRIVACY POLICY. See also condition 6.3 and condition 6.4, with regard to the announcement of winners.
10. General
10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, NBID may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
10.2 NBID reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.3 These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
